State Museum of Fine Arts named after AS Pushkin - one of Russia's largest art collections of foreign art from ancient times to the present day. In the present exhibition presents a vast collection of educational tinted plaster casts of the works of antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and the collection of original works of painting, sculpture, graphic and decorative art.
Currently, collection of the Pushkin Museum. AS Pushkin has over 560 thousand works of painting and sculpture, graphic works, works of applied art, archaeological monuments and numismatic, artistic photography. In 1991, the museum is included in the State of particularly valuable objects of cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia. In the halls of the first floor are mostly originals: works of art of ancient Egypt, Antiquity, a collection of European painting VIII-XVIII centuries; two halls - Italian and Greek yards - took the casts. On the second floor rooms are available presented casts of the art of ancient Greece, Rome, Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Halls painting acquainted with the art of XIX-XX centuries.
